Happy New Year, Happy 5th Year!

So, just in case you’re wondering, I AM still alive. I think.
2011 has had one heck of a final quarter! After moving the studio in August, surprise-shooting all of Woodlake High School’s senior class, keeping up with Exeter High School’s sports, taking on another fabulous school’s needs, shooting a beautiful October wedding, AND fulfilling all of the normal holiday demands…I’ve been a little stretched. My family, my friends, and my family-of-friends have managed to keep me grounded & sane. If it wasn’t for them, I’d be even more loopy! Thank you for that!

January 1st, 2012 means a lot to me. It happens to be Staci Welch Photography’s 5th Anniversary! Wow! Time has really flown by. I know I’ve had a lot of fun, but this is ridiculous! I’ve got so many ideas for the future! I can’t wait to see them all come to life, in their time. I look forward to growing personally & professionally, reaching goals I’ve set for myself along the way. Learning from the past, while embracing the present.

Over the next few weeks, you might notice a few changes. Mostly aesthetic, some of the services, all of the images. It’s been WAY too long since I’ve updated…uhh ANYTHING! My goal is to dazzle, fulfill, and most importantly INFORM you. HANG ON!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE when I’m granted full creative control over my sessions! Am I a control freak? NO! I just like to explore ALL of my options & surroundings…’cause I KNOW you’re going to love your images if I do. Oops! That sounded quiet confident, if you ask me! Well, there is a lot of truth to that statement. You see, I come across some REALLY great locations. And when I combine those locations with the cooky ideas I have bouncing around in my brain…POOF, magic! Not everyone is meant for every idea. You have to match. Anyway…

Katelyn wasn’t sure what she wanted to do, or where she wanted to go for her session. So, off we went! Her job? Bring lots of clothes & a buddy to laugh with! We frolicked all around Exeter & Woodlake and found some old & new favorites! Here’s a few images I love…

Hallie

Hallie was so much fun! And adventurous, too! If you would have told me I’d be climbing a mountain by the end of the session, I wouldn’t have believed you! Well, the climbing was my choice, over the scary Mule driving Hallie was doing. I had no idea they could drive on such steep terrain! Hallie, you’re a crazy woman, about to be unleashed on the world…and, I’m glad to be a part of that world! Go get’em girl!

The Galante Family name has a lot of history to it. I went to high school with a few of them, who were heavily into racing with Dad. Over the years we pass down certain traits and activities to our kids. Some we want them to love & appreciate, others we’d prefer they loose as often as their lunch money. Now that we are all adults, with mortgages and families, some of our kids are getting to the High School stage themselves. Joey’s the first of three brothers to reach this milestone. He’s always tinkering with something in the ‘shop’, and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. Once I layed eyes on it, I knew it was the perfect place to capture him, being him.

Seeing Stars

Every once in a while I find myself being asked to do a lot of ‘firsts’. This was one of those times. Mom-Rachel contacted me to shoot head-shots for her very talented son David, for his upcoming Disney Channel audition. After meeting with everyone, we quickly threw a session together. We bounced all around town, getting in as many looks as possible in a short amount of time.

I just cannot describe how much a love the Fry Family. Yep, almost enough to eat ‘em up! Pun intended. When asked to shoot Miss Katie Fry’s Senior Session I was so excited! I had lots of ideas RUNNING through my head. The obvious choice was to shoot Katie running cross-country, since that’s where she spends most of her time. She was recently chosen as Tulare County’s Athlete of the Year, after four brutal years of beating & holding many records. In addition to all that she’s accomplished, she is one of the most admirable humans I’ve met. She’s always first to smile, first to laugh, and first to hug. She’s a remarkable young lady.

Joubert Family

Love, Love, Love the Joubert’s! Momma-Erin & I first met in high school…wait – maybe it was junior high. Either way, we didn’t meet back up until many years later, upon a recommendation of needing a sign made. You see, Erin’s delightful family owns Visalia’s Awards & Sign’s Unlimited. She hooked me up with fabulous window decals at the first studio. Then, I later shot the images for her Leukemia & Lymphoma Society thank you cards.

Recently, we visited a beautiful place she tends to spend a lot of time at, The Woodlake Rodeo Grounds. Daughter, Ellie, is a sassy little squirt but has big enough britches to be riding with the Riatta girls. Son, Derrick, couldn’t wait to jump on his dirt bike to kick up some dust.

Rejuvenated, Prepared & Inspired!

Hello everyone! I’m back, after a crazy summer of moving the studio, and hot off the tracks of a VERY inspiring trip to Vegas (for WORK, that is!) And, it all comes right in time for one of the busiest seasons in photography. I recently shot my own kiddos, in preparation of yours. Change Has Come, Again

As you my already know, moving the studio to Exeter, and then moving the family there as well has made the last year a little crazy – in a good way. While business has BOOMED, life has become less complicated. Yay! It’s not slowing down yet! More change has come! We’ve been personally asked to relocate our studio to the well-known location of Larry Lee Photography in Downtown Exeter. Larry and Dora Lee have decided to retire after 42 years in the industry. I am honored and excited to carry on the photography tradition that the building has held for 30+ years. Our services will change slightly to incorporate indoor studio sessions, shot in a fresh & modern way. We look forward to taking care of all your photography needs, from infants & kiddos to families & couples. The transformation should be complete by August 1st. Schedule your High School Senior and Holiday Family Sessions now for prime appointment slots. We’ll continue to be available via phone and email during the transition.
